2 Weird Barbell Hip Thrust Tricks

One of my online girls messaged me the other day asking how to feel her glutes more during bb hip thrusts.

I sent her this video video where I talked about applying the mini band below the knees.

Her bands were still arriving in the mail so she was wondering if there was anything else.

There are 2 more tricks…

1. Head Position

Look at your knees the entire time.

When most girls thrust they look up at the ceiling upon lock out.

It’s not wrong, but…

You’ll feel your glutes turn on so much more when you look down.

Try it next time…

Do a couple reps looking up then a couple reps looking down and notice the difference.

2. Take Your Shoes Off

Your feet have thousands of sensors telling your body which muscles need to turn on.

When you wear shoes you mask that feedback.

Next time you hip thrust, take your shoes off, and concentrate on driving through your heels when you thrust.

(I tell my girls to pretend they are squashing a spider underneath each heel)

These 2 tips should make a big difference in the way the hip thrust feels.

At least they did for my client and myself.

Give them a try and let me know how you go.

Oh also… if you’re wondering about all the set’s n’ reps stuff….

I’ve got something for you that will help you with this…

It’s a new workout program called Strong Curves.

It’s for girls who love to lift and want to build a strong, fit and athletic hourglass figure – so not skinny or thin (there’s nothing wrong with that, it’s just not who the program is for).

It’s 100% free on the house as a way of saying thank you for visiting my site.
